Beginner & Intermediate Handbuilding Pottery Class 4-Week Workshop + 1 Extra Studio Day for Painting (4+1 Days) Dates: June 4, 11, 18, 25 Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (3 hours per session) Location: Manna Pottery 36 Pidgeon Hill Drive, Sterling, VA 20165 Join Our Beginner & Intermediate Handbuilding Pottery Workshop! Whether you’re completely new to pottery or looking to build on your existing skills, this 4-week hands-on pottery workshop + 1 extra studio day will guide you through the creative process of working with clay. What You’ll Learn: Beginner and intermediate handbuilding techniques, including pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction How to create 3–4 unique pottery projects, including functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, plates, and decorative items Surface decoration techniques, including textures, carving, and creative finishing methods Glazing and painting techniques to bring your pottery to life Each class runs for 3 hours, giving you plenty of time for hands-on learning and creativity. Bonus Studio Time Included! Your registration includes 1 extra studio day on your own schedule to complete the painting and glazing of your finished pieces in our painting studio. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy Cancellations within 24 Hours: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the class or workshop start time due to the short notice and inability to fill the spot. Cancellations before 24 Hours: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the class or workshop will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Kiln Firing Risk Policy While we strive for the best results, there is always a small risk involved in the kiln firing process, which is beyond our control. Historically, the loss rate has been less than 2%, but we cannot guarantee the outcome of any fired item. By participating, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk. Item Pickup Policy Finished items must be picked up within 60 days of completion. If items are not collected within this time frame, we reserve the right to recycle them, and we are not responsible for holding or storing them.
