Service Description

Four-day Beginner wheel throwing ceramics course designed for beginners to learn and create functional and decorative pottery pieces. Over four sessions, participants will gain hands-on experience with wheel-throwing, trimming, and carving techniques while creating a variety of items: Projects: Mug with Handle: Learn to throw and attach handles to create functional mugs. Ramen Bowl: Master the skills to throw and shape a wide, functional bowl. Vase with Carving: Create a decorative vase and explore carving techniques for added texture and design. After the firing process, participants can return to the studio for one session to paint their creations using the supplies and glazes provided at no additional cost. The studio will handle these beautifully painted pieces' final glazing and firing. Skill Development: All techniques taught in the course will serve as a foundation for throwing larger forms and exploring more advanced pottery projects. Studio Access: Students are encouraged to return after the class to practice and refine their skills. Wheel rentals are available, and open studio days can be reserved online or by calling Manna Pottery.
