Beginner and Intermediate Handbuilding Class Dates: January 7 , 14 , 21 February 4 , 11 , 18 Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (3 hours per session) Location: Manna Pottery / 36 Pidgeon Hill Drive Sterling, VA 20165 Join our Beginner and Intermediate Handbuilding Class, a 6-week pottery workshop. Whether you're new to pottery or looking to improve your techniques, this class will guide you through the creative process of working with clay. What You'll Learn: Basic and intermediate hand-building techniques, including pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction How to create various projects, including functional pieces like mugs, bowls, and plates Surface decoration methods, such as textures, carving, and glazing Techniques for glazing and painting your finished pieces Each weekly class runs for 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for hands-on practice. Plus, you'll get another 4 hours of studio time to finish your glazing and painting projects on your own schedule. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy Cancellations within 24 Hours: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the class or workshop start time due to the short notice and inability to fill the spot. Cancellations before 24 Hours: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the class or workshop will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Kiln Firing Risk Policy While we strive for the best results, there is always a small risk involved in the kiln firing process, which is beyond our control. Historically, the loss rate has been less than 2%, but we cannot guarantee the outcome of any fired item. By participating, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk. Item Pickup Policy Finished items must be picked up within 60 days of completion. If items are not collected within this time frame, we reserve the right to recycle them, and we are not responsible for holding or storing them.
