Service Description

Clay is a material rich in history and possibilities for art making, and hand-building pottery is the oldest use of the medium. The first ancient pottery-making technique involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. The most common hand-building techniques are pinch pottery, coil, and slab building. In this eight-section workshop, you create a beautiful peace every week and glaze it the last week. It would be an excellent experience for those wanting to gain knowledge and better understand the pottery world. The class would be eight sessions every day from 6 pm to 9 pm. You also will get four hours of open studio time (come in on your own time to glaze or finish class projects since we do a new project/ lesson every week). Dates: Sep 10 - Sep 24 - Oct 1 - Oct 8 - Oct 15 - Oct 22 -Oct 29 -Nov5 Hours: 6 pm - 9 pm With: Huyen MacMichael
